Logan Ung

Logan is an aerospace engineer driven by a deep passion for controlling and harnessing the forces of nature to propel rockets, aircraft, and humanity into the future. He currently works in the defense industry, where he contributes to the development of next-generation kinetic interceptors designed to strengthen strategic missile defense capabilities and address the emerging hypersonic threat.

He has a hardware-rich background in thermofluids, with hands-on experience designing and testing pressure-regulated feed systems for bi-propellant rocket engines and developing custom analysis tools. His engineering expertise also extends to commercial aviation, where he supported research and development of hydrogen zero-emission propulsion systems for blended wing body passenger airliners and aerial refueling tankers.

A builder at heart, Logan founded Phoenix Propulsion Lab, an independent student team dedicated to lowering the cost of developing and testing advanced hardware for amateur liquid rockets.

Logan holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from California State University, Long Beach. He is excited to serve as a role model and advocate, inspiring and teaching the next generation of young engineers to reach for what lies beyond.
